Magic Swell
The electric surf simulator – the wave under your feet, on concrete.
Overview
Magic Swell is not a cruiser but a surf simulator for the street: surf truck up front, stable precision truck in the back, dual hub drivetrain at 2×650 W, up to 45 km/h, up to 35 km of range and 30% climbing ability. Hand-assembled in Düsseldorf. Alongside it, the bilingual brand and product site with a tech section, the story, an inquiry flow and an investor area.
Challenge
Building a board that carries the mechanics of an open wave onto asphalt – pumping, bottom turn, re-entry – rather than just cruising comfortably. And bringing it to market as a small team: hardware needs approvals, registrations and capital before the first legal sale.
Solution
A brand of its own grew around the board: a product page with the full specs, an explainer on the surf setup, a legally complete shop structure in German and English – and an open investor section that states where the project stands instead of glossing over it. The existing boards are currently used for teaching and demos: demonstrations, test rides, development work.
Result
Magic Swell 1 is designed, built and ridden. Sales are deliberately on hold: licences, approvals and the research parts for the next model are to be funded together with investors rather than out of early sales. The €1,400 shown is an indicative price for when sales start. Not approved for public roads.
