Overview
TrackFinder started as a harmonic mixing database: filter tracks by Camelot key, BPM, energy and genre and see at a glance what fits together. The real leap is the loop system – any track can be sliced into beat-accurate 8-bar loops that are automatically split into stems and colour-coded by what they contain. You no longer mix two finished tracks against each other, but individual layers of harmonically compatible loops.
Challenge
In practice harmonic mixing fails on preparation, not theory. Anyone who wants to perform with loops cuts them to bar boundaries by hand, runs them through a separate tool for stem separation, renames files so the key sits in the filename, and then sorts the result inside Ableton. That is one to two hours per track – the reason almost nobody does it.
Solution
TrackFinder handles that chain in a single pass. A file goes in by drag-and-drop – mp3, flac, wav, m4a, ogg or opus, up to 600 MB, in batches if you like. BPM and key are detected, a bar grid is laid over the track, and exact 8-bar loops come out with no drift at the loop point. Every loop is automatically split into four stems – drums, bass, synth and voice, each individually mutable and playable. Loops are colour-coded by content, so a track’s arrangement can be read off the slice player instead of auditioning a list of identical-looking clips. The DJ mixer turns that into an Ableton-style session grid: several decks side by side, scenes to fire, one shared master tempo. And the export builds finished Ableton packs and Live sets server-side – Camelot code in the filename, which Live picks up directly as the clip name.
Result
One to two hours of manual work per track turns into a few minutes. In a set, stemmed loops from different tracks can be layered – the drums of one, the vocals of another – because the key travels with each individual loop instead of living in a spreadsheet next to it.

Slice player
Drop a track in and you are done: BPM and key get detected, the track is cut into 8-bar loops. Each job shows its Camelot code, loop count and the status of stems and colouring. Every track runs at one shared master tempo, and stems can be queued in batches across several tracks.

Every 8-bar loop is broken out into drums, bass, synth and voice – each stem playable on its own, each carrying the same key as its loop. The full loops are colour-coded by what they contain, so a track’s arrangement can be read at a glance instead of auditioned.

Ableton export
Finished Ableton packs and complete Live sets are built server-side – you can close the page, completed exports stay listed. The Camelot code sits in the filename, so Live picks it up directly as the clip name and sorting by name groups harmonically compatible loops together.
